 This render is the consequence of this “night” Light Balance (step2):

 

1) V-Ray Phisical Camera: f8 / Shutter speed 10 / ISO 100 / WB Neutral

2) V-Ray Lights :

  • V-Ray Light: Dome + HDRI – Multiplier: 1,0
  • V-Ray Light 1: Multiplier= 150 Watts / Temperature= 4500°k
  • V-Ray Light 2/3/4: Multiplier= 50 Watts / Temperature= 4000°k
  • V-Ray Light 5: Multiplier= 30 Watts / Temperature= 4000°k

HOW TO GET A SNOW SHADER?

In case you want to create a great snow-shader it is not so simple because you have to take in consideration three different aspect: shape, translucence and sparkling.

There are a lot of different ways to do that, one of these is using VRayBlend Material. This is the result:

Note: You may need to trick a lot using this shader – Just consider that the map for displacement (snow-DISPL.jpg) is sized to cover a 8m x 8m surface.
